Miri - Festive-wear that doesn't begin & end with a season

A new festive collection steeped in the joy of celebration. For this line, we’ve drawn inspiration from desert communities across the central latitudes of Europe, Asia and Africa to create rich multi-toned embroideries on our defining handloom linen.

The embroidery and beadwork for Miri is among the most elaborate we’ve created so far. Tactile, multi-dimensional layers of embellishment draw on Macedonian folk motifs, Turkish Anatolian weaving, ancient Persian and Egyptian costume traditions, and closer to home, the intricate art of kachchi embroidery.

The result is patterns in multi-toned threads, with beaded accents and sequins, showcasing stitching techniques like aari chain stitch, crewel work & naaka-tikki.

The styles and silhouettes in Miri are perfect for festivities, as well as your everyday wardrobe. The highlight is a limited edition of handwoven saris in the two distinct colourways – each one woven with fine stripes and shimmering zari.

You’ll also find kurtas, tops and dresses in varying styles, pants in a range of fits, and cropped waistcoat jackets that add character. The pieces are equally suited to classic kurta-pant pairings as well as inventive mix-&- match styling.

Our fluid silhouettes take on a new dimension – each thoughtfully tailored to highlight the elaborate embroidery. Bell sleeves offer expansive surfaces, inviting vibrant threadwork and detail. On v-neck kurtas, beadwork and embroidery trace the neckline, echoing its distinct shape.
